CBL International (Centre for International Business and Commercial Law) and Oriel College, University of Oxford are inviting groups of selected universities to participate in a 4-week intense programme dedicated to International Law, Economics & Management, International Relations, and Business and Legal English. Two sessions will be held in Oxford:

• Session 1: 1 July to 28 July 2012
• Session 2: 29 July to 25 August 2012

Depending on the course you choose, you will be given cutting-edge lectures by well-known professors on that subject. International Law Programme

Delegates will appreciate our strong focus on common legal issues that arise in the most complex commercial cases across different borders. They will learn more about international transactions as well as lawyering across various jurisdictions. Delegates will appreciate our strong focus on international dispute settlement and the economic system and law of the European Union. They will learn more about global economic trends and international trade. This programme is the only extensive Summer Institute in Oxford that focuses on international relations and dispute settlement, international economics, and international business law.

Business & Legal English Programme

This exclusive programme will give participants the opportunity to attend lectures focusing on spoken as well as written business and Legal English. Additionally participants are invited to attend a large selection of lectures focusing on various relevant topics in the areas of management, economics, international relations and law.

Upon completion of the course, applicants will improve their ability to comprehend and communicate with the language in both formal and colloquial forms. The programme also incorporates lectures, which give participants the chance to employ their understanding of business and legal terms in real-life situations. This presents the opportunity for delegates to practice business English by attending additional topics such as international business law, entrepreneurship & business management, and international taxation; the level of legal English will be improved by attending lectures focusing on legal theory and various aspects of international business law.

Certificate and Academic Transcript

A certificate as well as an academic transcript will be issued to the participates, containing topics covered during the programme. The Oxford Summer Institute is a certificate programme that may be accountable for optional credits depending on the requirements of the home institution, school, or university.

Tuition Fee

• OECD member country student tuition fee: GBP 2,280
• non-OECD member country student tuition fee: GBP 1,650

*An early bird discount of GBP 200 per student is offered for applications received before March 20, 2012.

• Accommodation at Oriel College Bed & Breakfast (single room): GBP 1,560
